On-site research Pedraforca.

On October 21st and 22th, the Emblematic subcontractor ETAM with partner Agència de Desenvolupament del Berguedà visited the massif of Pedraforca and the Natural Park of the Cadí Moixeró to know what are the proposals of this territory that fit with the Emblematic project.
To begin the visit, the guests were received by the park’s director who explained the conservation, education and promotion strategy of the park.
The morning route focused on the landscape, nature and the viewpoints. Participants also had an opportunity to taste several local products in a rural accommodation in the area.
In the afternoon, the visit focused on cultural visits to learn about the heritage of the place (Picasso center of Gósol, Palaeontological center of Fumanya) and also on activities in the natural environment (adventure parks, climbing, hiking, mountain biking, …).
The next day the heritage aspect was completed with the visit to the Museu de les Mines de Cercs (coal mines museum)
During the trip, ETAM also had the opportunity to visit four types of accommodation in the area: hotel, camping, farm-house accommodation and shelter, and they were also able to speak with the managers of these lodgings to provide tourist information first hand.
ETAM (Nicos Drakonakis) was surprised by the high level of tourism development and development that is being carried out in the area, with criteria of sustainability and using as a pole of attraction the Pedraforcamountain (Rosa Maria Colomer Oró).
